Living Cipher Advisory · Architecture Mandates

Architecture authority before technical decisions become expensive to reverse.

Living Cipher assumes selected owner-side architecture mandates for deep-tech programs moving from technical proposition to programmable proof, deployable platform, and—only where justified—silicon.

The mandate creates a governed Architecture of Record, makes partner and implementation boundaries explicit, and ties technical evidence to deployment and capital decisions without turning architecture authority over to a vendor, design house, infrastructure provider, or schedule.

Evidence earns commitment. Architecture determines what becomes difficult to reverse.

When a Mandate Becomes Useful

The system works. The architecture is becoming consequential.

A mandate is appropriate when several technical domains, partners, or capital commitments are beginning to converge and the company needs one owner-side architecture authority across them.

01

Prototype → platform

A successful prototype must become repeatable, supportable, deployable, and governed without freezing immature assumptions.

02

FPGA → silicon

Programmable evidence must establish what truly recurs, what remains volatile, and what has earned greater irreversibility.

03

Partner integration

Data centers, design houses, hospitals, foundries, board vendors, and strategic partners need clear interfaces without inheriting architecture authority.

04

Capital diligence

Boards and investors need to know which technical premises support the next commitment and what evidence would justify proceeding, resizing, holding, or stopping.

What Living Cipher Owns

One architecture across implementation, deployment, ownership, and capital.

A mandate may include the Architecture of Record, architecture decision records, hardware/software partitioning, FPGA and SoC strategy, memory and data movement, interface-control documents, partner authority boundaries, deployment profiles, silicon-decision gates, capital-at-risk logic, and technical diligence materials.

Where useful, Living Cipher carries architectural claims into RTL, FPGA/SoC implementation evidence, timing closure, platform characterization, or pre-fabrication review so decisions are tested rather than asserted.

Fractional Chief Architect

A role inside the mandate, not a staffing product.

Where the program requires sustained architecture authority, Living Cipher may operate in a fractional Chief Architect capacity: representing the owner across internal engineering, external implementers, infrastructure partners, investors, and the board while maintaining the canonical architecture and decision record.

AUTHORITY

Owner-side decisions

Maintain the Architecture of Record, approve consequential changes, and prevent implementation convenience from silently redefining the product.

EVIDENCE

Implementation-grounded

Use measured behavior, FPGA evidence, timing, interfaces, deployment constraints, and economics to drive decisions.

CONTROL

Preserve optionality

Keep architecture portable across vendors, data centers, design houses, foundries, and future compute substrates wherever practical.

Architecture & Capital

The mandate follows the decisions that make capital less recoverable.

Moving from software to FPGA, board, accelerator, chiplet, or ASIC converts technical assumptions into NRE, supplier dependencies, qualification, manufacturing, rights, and financing obligations.

Living Cipher does not replace finance. It makes the technical premises behind those commitments visible before capital becomes difficult to unwind.

Selective Engagement

Bring the architecture decision.

Living Cipher works selectively where architecture, implementation, and capital commitment are tightly coupled. Engagements generally begin with a consequential decision or transition rather than a generic request for engineering capacity.

Confidential technical disclosure is not required for an initial inquiry. A mutual NDA can be established before substantive architecture review.
